Climate change is a whole-of-society challenge, but achieving a consensus on the need and means to decarbonise is difficult. Our Centre aims to help all stakeholders navigate the transition by sharing applied, policy-relevant research that is grounded in the economic and political realities of modern society."

- Professor David Close, Centre Director

The Gas and Energy Transition Research Centre conducts real-world research focussed on optimising Australia’s natural gas industry in terms of environmental performance, social performance, and optimisation of cost of operation and supply.
